Both the LMMS and Hydrogen sample sets have many awesome samples of good quality. It's not really about which one is technically analyzed to be "better," but it's about having a wide library of samples that you can use to create whatever sound you have in your head.
Wow, I actually had no idea my webshow was that effective. :o You have to find a balance between putting your best foot forward and throwing yourself in the deep end without any training. I say the best exercise for a new producer like yourself is to just make a track. It will take some doing and pr...
It looks like it's trying and failing to compile VeSTige for 32 bit while you're running a 64 bit system. I'm not sure where this problem comes from, as I ran 64 bit for quite awhile and VST's ran fine. You do need a 32 bit version if wine and VeSTige though, because most VST's have a 32 bit version...
LMMS is GPL. Exported audio files are "program output," which you are allowed to redistribute. As previously stated by another user, samples are all you need to check the EULA about, as having them in your songs is copying or creating a "derivative work."
1. Start LMMS
2. Go into Edit->Settings->Paths
3. Install BlueCat tripleEQ to the path labeled VST plugin directory
Update: After a year I have finally released my last Music Hacker episode. While I am sad to see the show go, I now feel free from the stress it sometimes provided. Anyway, I have left the community with about eight hours of tuts, so I feel like I have done some part in giving back to and helping th...
..guilty Don't be. A lot of producers go for years before they learn about it. I am one of them. EQ is exactly the same as in winamp, boosting or lowering certain frequencies to change the sound. I usually apply "C* EQ 2x2" to most of my instruments or FX channels(if they're grouped) depe...
Oh yea, commercial viability. I say you're a good artist, but I can't say what the music industry is going to want next.
Hide intro away where none will ever find it. Crackwhore was a joy to listen to. New sound was also good, but I think the speed bass should be a bit louder or at least more pronounced. If you're EQing it, just fix the EQ. If not, start EQing your tracks. ;) Flip a Knife was good, but somehow felt le...
Yo cre8live welcome to the LMMS forums! I :D was hoping some members of the Music Hacker community would follow me here. I remember hearing a track I liked and seeing it labeled as Complextro, but I don't remember the sound. Now I'm going to add it to my subject list and start trying to find it again.
