What sound is this?

So, I was listening to this song:

And then I wondered what instrument and what kinds of effects were used to come up with the "leading sound" that starts at 0:30.

I went to LMMS and tried to replicate it, but ofc I'm too much of a newb to be able to do it.

This lead depends entirely on the envelope-setting.
In LMMS the factory instruments 'all' have the ENV/LFO-tab
You need to work on the ENV, witch is short for envelope

As waveform i think its a pretty simple saw, maybe a hint of square.
3OC or watsyn will do fine
The ENVelope has a shortish ATT, no SUStain, no HOLD and a ~3/4 secd long DECay. No RELease
You can then use an EQ and the filters, to get close to the sound in the video.
