Selecting, copying, and pasting of automation points

Anything that doesn't fit into other topics goes here!
Is there a way to select, copy, and paste automation points in automation tracks in - for lack of a better term - the "automation roll" as you can select pitch notes of an instrument track in the piano roll without having to redo the automation track from scratch? It would surely be a waste of time; frustration may even set in if you are near the end of editing the automation track but have to redo the entire automation for being just a copy of some automation points away from finishing the automation track!! Fortunately, it hasn't happened to me, yet, but I can feel the pain if it happens or has happened to anyone!

Unfortunately No. It will come
But Automating segments can be copied, but you do need to make sure, that if you try to use the copied segments in a different track, both span, and the gradual framework, must be very close to identical. For that reason, it really only make sense to copy f.i. a VOL-automation into another VOL-automation.
The values are absolute, not relative!

Besides that, since you are new in Forum
