With no update for almost a year, it feels like the development of LMMS has cooled down significantly. Of course, a glimpse at the github pages proves otherwise. But with the 1.2.0 milestone progress sitting at around 80% for months, it seems that the goals for this release have been too ambitious.
Would it be a good idea to either:
- move some of the features, improvements, etc. planned for 1.2.0 to 1.3.0, and release 1.2.0 early?
- or release another 1.1.x version with only some of the features, improvements, etc. planned for 1.2.0?
In both cases, 1.3.0 will be pushed back even further.
I favor smaller and more frequent updates over bigger and less frequent ones. It keeps LMMS fresh and appealing.
