The next LMMS release

Anything that doesn't fit into other topics goes here!
With no update for almost a year, it feels like the development of LMMS has cooled down significantly. Of course, a glimpse at the github pages proves otherwise. But with the 1.2.0 milestone progress sitting at around 80% for months, it seems that the goals for this release have been too ambitious.

Would it be a good idea to either:
- move some of the features, improvements, etc. planned for 1.2.0 to 1.3.0, and release 1.2.0 early?
- or release another 1.1.x version with only some of the features, improvements, etc. planned for 1.2.0?

In both cases, 1.3.0 will be pushed back even further.

I favor smaller and more frequent updates over bigger and less frequent ones. It keeps LMMS fresh and appealing.
Unfortunately there are more severe issues at the moment. A release is not to be expected soon. The reasons are both technical and also connected to the fact, that exams om many higher education are due.
Theres really no reason for a discussion, so i will lock the topic, but if you are or know someone who is a c++ coder:
