LMMS crash when sustain pedal released

I have LMMS v1.2.0
When I record something in the piano roll using the sustain pedal on my midi keyboard, it works fine. When I end the recording and then let go of the sustain pedal, lmms crashes. perhaps its a driver issue with my midi keyboard, i have no idea.
Im using a Casio CTK-800 through USB General MIDI.

PC is windows 10 v1903, amd ryzen 5 1600, 16gb ram, nvidia gtx 1060 6gb if that helps with anything.
