Want to use the Church Organ plug-in in LMMS

Having trouble with LMMS? Ask about it here.
I want to use the following Church Organ plug-in in LMMS: http://www.vst4free.com/free_vst.php?id=622

It works in Carla but not in the LMMS 1.2.0 AppImage version for Linux. Is there a way to get the plug-in working in LMMS? Lots of other plug-ins do work in LMMS.

I don't know about Linux but the way I solve this problem on Windows is to run LMMS as an Administrator. That vst will then load without any problem

Thanks! It works when I start LMMS from the command line. Strange!

works from cmd line
Do you get any error messages or do you have a output from linux when you try to use it?
It could be a WINE issue
There are lots of error messages in the terminal when I start LMMS from there, but it works fine and I can then run the Church Organ VST in Vestige. When I don't start LMMS from the command line it also works with most of my other VST's but not with the Church Organ VST.

I now start LMMS from a bash file on my desktop to solve the issue.

..Ok, but maybe you should see, if you have some missed updates, or software issues, in your distro, because you should not get errors in upstart.
The point is that I couldn't run VST's at all in the version of LMMS from the Linux Mint repositories after my upgrade (by way of a clean install) to Linux Mint 19.2 64-bit, so that's why I switched to the AppImage version of LMMS. And now almost everything works. But as the AppImage is not installed from the Linux Mint repositories maybe that's why Linux complains. ;-)

This is what I see in the terminal:

Code: Select all

Carla does not appear to be installed. That's OK, please ignore any related library errors.
Jack appears to be installed on this system, so we'll use it.
