I've downloaded that DSOUNDFONT_Ultimate_4.2.1a.7z and LMMS can't load it. Although it hangs for a few seconds, but then just resets instrument to have no soundfont, without giving any error. You can easily check it yourself, since DSOUNDFONT is GPL licensed. But all other soundfonts large 2 Gb don't appear to be loading. Guess there an lseek somewhere using 32-bit integer, therefore the bug.
The sf2 file isn't broken, since polyphone 2.2 opens it just fine.
I'm using OSX if that is important. But yeah, you have some huge progress! Because I tried LMMS for OSX a year ago, there was no sf2 support at all, and people suggested to use separate wav samples.
