Custom "grids", quantazation for automations value

Having trouble with LMMS? Ask about it here.
is there any way for doing this?
in example - i want to quantize pitch value for automatization by 10 steps (irregular or regular step)
ooh im a bit uncertain of what you want
Does you want a pitch slide of 10 semitones?
Can you explain in more detail what it is you're trying to achieve ? What exactly is the parameter you're trying to automate ?

Normally "quantize" doesn't apply to pitch. I've never seen a DAW that has any sort of vertical quantization...in fact I can't even think what it might mean because pitch already has predefined "grid" in semitones.

yes. but not only 10. in example it needs for doing stuff like that

LMMS really is not set up for doing microtonal or non-standard temperaments. Not many DAWs are. And since remarkably few people use those scales I can't imagine it's going to be a priority for the developers.

There are a few VSTis that will allow various scale retunings and microtuning, chief among them in LMMS is probably ZynAddSubFX, but they all take some setting up and driving. For more examples look on zenharmonic again - http://xenharmonic.wikispaces.com/List+ ... re+Plugins

ok.
but i don't think is to hard to implement.
coz its even not some new piano roll - just quantize value by some steps.

and i want to use lmms. i don't like use vst settings - coz its not portable, i can't change simply one intrument to another
Well perhaps we're talking at cross purposes then...

The problem I see is that most synths/samplers etc, i.e. the things that actually produce the sounds, only respond to standard MIDI note numbering. 36 is C and 37 is C#. If you want to use something like 19ET then there are 18 notes between C3 and C4 and none of them is C#. If you try to use a quarter tone scale there's a note between C and C#...but there's no number between 36 and 37 to tell the synth to play it.

How do you plan to get a synth or sampler to actually play all those non-standard pitches ?

Steve
I dont have the musical insight that Steve has, but cant you just set PITCH at '1'

and then turn the RANGE-dial 10 semi-tones?

sounds horrid, but believe its tuned like you want...

i will use standart piano roll for note + 1 automation track connected with pitch for change microtone.

time quantisation also be useful - then i can set values easy by time position for syncyng with notes

i don't understand what it can do for me
i use automation track and need quantization values and time on this automation track

i can set values manually with mouse drag, but it hard for many notes
and automation editor really bad for this purposes now

here example for test project

can you provide example of project?
