I looked online on how to create a gated snare in LMMS and found this one. The decay/gate knobs had the same issue for me too so I looked that up. Apparently, it's a ~~bug~~ feature. Take a look at this OP https://github.com/LMMS/lmms/issues/5352

i know that the lmms community is under a dev crunch but i'm posting this anyway for future reference of devs. first of all, i would suggest forking audacity (yeah im serious) and repurposing it to be a backend/audio engine. if you need more idea, i think lmms can use some of audacity's sampling cap...

For me personal, feel free to disagree, there is other stuff missing in LMMS, that is to me much more important then being able to run it on a phone. That gui looks very good though.
