Thanks for the reply. That is what I was getting at. The Qubes list is uploaded by the users as each is likely using a relatively unique combination of hardware. But it is formatted and presented in a standardised way for legibility.
My solution was to download the repo version, copy and save the classic theme folder, remove said version of LMMS, and then copy the classic theme folder to whatever LMMS installation I use from elsewhere.
I have also tried the LMMS versions from the repos (when they work) as well as the flatpak versions etc. The same issue persists. The keyboard doesn't show up in LMMS. I am not dissing LMMS, it is my mainstay - LMMS rules - but seriously it is not working. I know it should work - that is why I am he...

Why oh why does it not work with linux LMMS?

It works with Hydrogen.
It works with Yoshimi.
It works with Ardour.
It works with eveything EXCEPT LMMS.

Why, oh why.

I tried Ubuntu Studio.
I tried Debian.
I tried Fedora.
I tried CentoOS.

Why oh why.
Might you/we/I have a page section for uploading information on compatible hardware for linux systems akin to that used by QubesOS? A simplified version of this: https://www.qubes-os.org/hcl/ At a minimum something like: Distribution: eg Fedora 37 LMMS Version: eg 1.2.1 appimage/repo/ Hardware Teste...

I am using the appimage but the default dark theme is impossible for me to read and the option to switch to classic doesn't work.
LMMS 1.2.2 , Linux Debian, constantly crashing . I am using an Intel 6 core i5 with 32GB RAM on a an ASUS H310M-E R2.0 motherboard and SSD. I have tried running on Debian, Fedora, Trisquel and Xubuntu and get constant crashes. I am using stock included sounds and no vst plugins. I have tried stock k...
