It's since some time now that the kxstudio repository just vanished. If you try to access http://kxstudio.linuxaudio.org/ you actually end up into a different website, namely "NEW INTERFACES FOR MUSICAL EXPRESSION". And of course the repository base URL at http://kxstudio.linuxaudio.org/re...
Hi all. I've just installe v1.2.0-rc5 64bit on my Win7 machine. Any brand new project has a "kicker" instrument into the B+BL editor. If I add a new instrument (sf2 player in my case) into the song editor it doesn't show up into the b+BL editor just like I've seen so far. So I am not able ...
Re-resolved.
Somehow I had enabled a setting "Synchronize plugin with host playback".
Once disabled everything went back to normal operations.
Thanks to people at KXStudio!
I have also reset the wine package in order to use the 32bit version, as the default setup was for 64 bit. Reinstalled 32bit wine, lmms with vst support etc. etc. NOPE. Logs and error messages are too terse to understand: The VST-plugin /home/support/Work/Musica/vst/SpicyGuitar_32.dll could not be l...
I did a fresh installation on new hardware.
Kubuntu 16.04 64bit + the suggested KXStudio repo.
Then I installed LMMS with vst support.
It still doesn't work with the very same error.
I have started LMMS from the command line in order to capture some error message. Here they are: Error while reading. Remote plugin did not connect. Error while writing. QProcess: Destroyed while process is still running. Moreover, I've uninstalled 64bit wine and installed 32bit wine. No change in t...
Hi all (again)! With 16.04 I haven't been so lucky. I did an upgrade (a fresh install actually) and added the kxstudio repos. Not only Installing lmms-vst-full doesn't install LMMS (it's a 195Kb installation!) but even adding the lmms packages (which is a 100+Mb) it doesn't work. I do have wine inst...
No, we don't have any machines who does at this point. To my knowledge Linuxsampler is the only project in the open source world who reads them but they aren't 100% done yet so there may be some functionality missing. https://www.linuxsampler.org/sfz/ They actually are. At least accordingly to thei...
Found! In Kubuntu/KXStudio there are two variant for lmms: one is called ... "lmms - Linux Multimedia Studio", the other one is called "lmms-vst-full - Linux Multimedia Studio - full VST support using Wine". I installed the latter and the VST plugins "magically"(tm) sta...
