Thanks MusikBear, you are indeed the source of all knowledge. I'm glad to say that i have no problem with reading code:- I wrote my first program in assembly - none of this fancy stuff of using meaningful (or semi-meaningful) words ;-) - in 1960, and have been programming in various languages and di...
How can I find out the volume value of a note in Piano Roll without altering it? If I click on the volume bar, its length changes so that its vertical length stops at the point where I clicked, and shows me that point's volume value. Too late to retrieve the original, it's gone! Heisenberg rules OK!...
Thanks musikbear. There was just that faint chance it might work.

SGC here.
I should make it clear that the number and length of notes in each bar are the same, only the pitch varies. This is not the norm, so perhaps that's why I haven't found a way of doing it.
In piano roll I want to change the emphasis (volume/velocity) for notes in a bar and then copy that emphasis (not the notes) to other bars.
Does anyone know a way of doing this please?
TIA

Thanks D.Ipsum, Just putting the Automation Block at the end bars worked fine.
I'll try the recording method too when I have a large section to Automate.
Thanks again

Using LMMS on Win10. When I try and edit an Automation Track, I can't scroll to the end of the song in the Automation Editor. The first bar stays firmly stuck to the LH end of the window.
Does anyone know the Magic Runes needed to scroll to the Right please?

Thanks Musikbear,
I tried to find the internal format for Piano Roll without success, so I asked the question, hoping that it might be a simple mod to read in data items of 4 fields.

I'll look at exporting in one of the midi formats.

I'll also have a look at SPAN.

Thanks again..
1) If the coloured Master Output Visualisation were to be shown as a bar (thick line) across the Main Project Window, say just above the bar (measure) numbers, then it would be easier to spot where any overload problems were. 2) I would find it helpful if I could import into the Piano Roll a simple ...
