bumping for more Linux users :)
Hi Gps, I left openSuse and Arch aside and went on trying Ubuntu 16.04 and Magic! The solution for future reference: 1. Installed Wine and configured it to Win7. 2. The instructions: http://nickhumphreyit.blogspot.pt/2013/01/ubuntu-precise-1204-how-to-install-lmms.html look old but are still working...
I've built LMMS version 1.2.0-rc2 from source code on my Antergos box (instructions on https://github.com/LMMS/lmms/wiki/Compiling-lmms). Vestige is still not there. This is definately a problem on LMMS for Linux based systems, since on Windows Vestige is there. Don't know about Mac. On the positive...
Hi folks,

Just a quick poll... How many of you use a linux distro? If you use a operating system that belongs to this family please let us know in the comments below!

Personally I use Arch/Ubuntu/OpenSuse/Antergos

I also tried LMMS with openSuse tumbleweed with Wine installed and Vestige wasn't there either. I used the command sudo zypper install lmms as indicated in https://lmms.io/download/#linux. I can only find it on Windows. It is bizarre that the pachages are all broken for Arch, Ubuntu and OpenSuse... ...
I am also having the same problem in my Antergos (arch based) system.

According to https://lmms.io/download/#linux, support for VST on Linux-based systems is not out of the box.

I am trying to get it to work. Any Linux wizards out there?
Hi folks,

I cannot find the VeSTige instrument on the instrument plugins list. I am running LMMS version 1.1.3 on Lubuntu 16.04

Any idea why this could be happening?

Thanks
Hi, I am a newbie in LMMS. I am interested in piano sounds and found this track featuring a piano https://lmms.io/showcase/ (top track) So my question is: Is there support for piano sounds in LMMS? Or do we need to use external third-party VST's? Thanks Edit: I use a variety of GNU/Linux systems, fr...
