Ok, I have the exact same problem in Reaper daw (via wine), so the problem is not by LMMS. Tried to reïnstall Synth1, same problem. Downloaded Synth1 again via the original source, installed through wine and get error message: "The file settings.ini is missing". Don't know where I can get ...
In Synth1 I can change the colors in the 'opt' menu, and set the transparancy of the window. Works perfect.
However, the text is still invisible.

There's aswel a button "update readme.txt". Don't know if that can be important for something?
I had the wine1.6 installed.
Removed it and replaced by the WineHQ 3.0 stable version.

Still the same problem.

:(

However, other vst's run, like the DSK ones...

Tried to setup Carla aswel, but it's not even showing the possibility for the carla-discovery-win32/64 option to load win VST's.
I'm using Linux Mint, latest version. And I downloaded the lmms 1.2 beta version (.AppImage) which I just ran.... (not the lmms version via the software manager, because there I don't have Vestige) Maybe I'm doing something wrong here... Or should I install synth1 some (other) way? Maybe I should in...

Anyone else had this issue too?
Do you have Synth1 That is not only our 'proof-of-concept-synth' it is also one of the best you can get! First get that- You will never regret it! Obs that you need to install it! You can find several videos on my youTube channel (link in signature) that addresses Synth1 http://mda.smartelectronix....
As for the presets, I can't load more than 10 banks, and they all need to be named 'soundbank0x', while in this manual I found (page 73), it would be possible to add more, and different names... but how... I unzipped the files, probably the reason why it didnt work. http://veryrandomstreams.blogspo...
ZynAddSubFX sounds great, tested few nice presets yesterday, but it sometimes freezes LMMS. And maybe too complex for a simple guy like me. Synth1 is awesome and seems to be controllable and user friendly for humans like me. Will change the colors asap to get a desired design. As for the presets, I ...
The problem with these advanced synths is that the learning curve is a bit more time consuming. And we all live in a world without oceans of free time. Just downloaded a few tons of presets for both Synth1 and ZynAddSubFX. Will try to test each preset next week hopefully... it's aswel time consuming...
