Yes, I can run both Gimp and LibreOffice on it. It's possible with Android too, using any chroot environment.
The drawback is quality: on Android I get jerky sound, on N900 I get monophonic.

Maemo-Leste is a Debian derivative. LMMS on it is just a .deb downloaded from a repo. It's a build of LMMS compiled for a different architecture, but uses the official source code. Wine staging, 32 bit, lmms from the Ubuntu repo (can't remember the name right now) and configured wine to emulate 7, also added /usr/share/lmms as drive.

Using loop points allows to alter the pitch of a sample, while mapping it to keys allows it to play different regions.
If possible, there should be both.
