nice work!
i think a user who uses appimages is not a linux user. everything has to be better and easier today. that's nice ... cmake, meson, ninja, snap, flatpack, appimage. it's getting better :) thx!
is there any possible way to get lv2 effect plugins into a FX-Mixer channel?

a hidden CarlaRackFX.dll maybe? :)

for a typical D'n'B style, u need a breakbeat, conspicuous short snares and a TB-303-like bassline. the tempo is between 160-190 BPM. here a fun-project. it's not the best example for modern D'n'B, but it's D'n'B: https://soundcloud.com/zeroc_nr1/give-the-drummer-some-zeroc-feat-ultramagnetic-mcs-sh...
i think you have some trouble with old repos and/or packages. maybe old kxstudio repos.

first try this:

sudo apt-get -f install&&sudo apt-get update&&sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

next is, try to install the packages step by step:

1. libglib2.0-dev
2. libjack0
3. libmp3lame0
...
etc
it's possible. try to start here: https://github.com/LMMS/lmms/wiki/dependencies-debian#qt4 after installing the dependencies from the link above, you can follow these lines: mkdir git &&cd git&&git clone -b master https://github.com/lmms/lmms&&mkdir lmms/build01&&cd ...
hi execute, which linux distribution do you use? the current pre-release or testing version is 1.2.0-RC4. Debian Jessie !! that's a problem. all LMMS versions older than 2015 bring inconsistency into your system! :) i think there is no problem for a jessie user, to compile the git branch by yoursel...
