I try and be as sportsmanlike as possible, but there must be change. I've worked countlessly on my entry, perfecting it in every way I saw fit. My heart sank when I realized that I sent in the wrong file (the soundcloud release is the raw version) and I was distraught. Seeing the results only confi...
This is pretty good, it reminds me of something that would be in the soundtrack of a detective game like 999 or Dangan Ronpa. Not really danceable, more pensive  . Best of luck in the competition! Thought pensive meant something along the lines of anxious until I looked up the definition. I re...
The 1/4, 1/8, 1/16, 1/32 thing is actually much less difficult to work with at least for me.
This is a rough version of my BOL6 entry. I was gonna make some adjustments to it, but NOPE. I didn't have a title for it, but thanks to my circumstances, Imgonna call this 6:18 Judgement Day. Here ya go. It's in a 7+7+7+4/4 (25/4) time signature. Not easily danceable, but I tried. https://soundclou...

For the first time ever, I made a beat that my little sister asked to replay a bunch of times and still don't feel right about it. Who do you think this sounds like?

Originally, the track just a pitched down and eq'd 4 minute sample. I lengthened it by about 30 seconds and added some drums (bass drum acoustic, sidestick, zynfx drum kit, and Rhodes strings. Everything is intentionally made to sound like a distant, catatonic, but still a bit nostalgic kind of mood...
How would you go about mastering? I never knew what mastering actually meant.
The problem is that they're not wildly different that I could consider two separate tracks. From a production standpoint and ambient listening standpoint, which would you say is the better version? Alright then. This is V1. Done entirely in lmms. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1lfBRQ1ZMIfDl592Bujtr...
I used no effects because I was scared of irreversibly altering my song, but I like that this song has an energy that I have yet to replicate. (Shameful) https://m.soundcloud.com/user-400928735 ... ing-boring
