Yes . . . Gargoyle . . .
An affectionate name for an uber-tech data-hoovering outfit based in Mountain View.
(famous for abandoning the motto 'Do No Evil')
Yes. I'm not sure why it doesn't work either . . .
I've tried 3 different browsers . . . no dice.
This happens a lot with Gargoyle files.
You might think they could create a simple web-file system which works for everyone . .
Experience shows they can't..
Hi CuriousKitty . . Unfortunately, as often happens with Gargoyle, the file won't play . . . After a lovely multicolored 'spinner' display, it comes up with the message : "There was a problem playing this audio file" And then displays a 'Download' button instead. Which, if you click, displ...
Me too!

I have some old MIDI files that were generated with Atari / Cubase that have some nicely grooved tempos. I've tried to replicate the groove in LMMS (hand-nudging notes in 192nd fractions) and haven't got anywhere near the feel of the original . . . Doh!
Ermmm I'm guessing that you might mean a 'Decimal Fraction' e.g 120.3 ??? Although very few people could tell the difference between a track running at 120 BPM or 120.3 BPM, it gets really important when trying to sync LMMS content to existing recordings. Any recording that went though some analogue...
Thanks ! I'll give it a (cautious) try.
Just wondering . . . if there might perhaps be any indications of a rough timescale about when a new version could be expected?
Thanks musikBear . . . Yes, Audacity can do micro alterations of pitch and tempo etc - but it's a notoriously tricky algorithm, and does mush-up the sound quite a bit. One way I've found around it is to call up the file (using a new audio file track) at reasonable intervals (say every 20 seconds or ...
Hello All . . . Just wondering if there's a way to set 'micro tempos' ? Why would I want this - given that no-one can tell the difference between 118 bpm and 118.14 bpm? But I'm trying to do LMMS-based MIDI 'overdubs' on a pre-recorded analog track (which I'm playing back using the 'Audio File Proce...
LMMS audio file outputs do tend to vary in volume a lot . . . An easy way to fix things is to load the audio files (e.g. in .wav format) into 'Audacity' (it's free and quite stable) then run the 'Normalize' filter on the track. You can set the 'Normal' level to anything you like, say, half a dB belo...
