The purpose of my learning LMMS is to try & build soundscapes based on samples of sounds from the natural world recorded on my 'phone. But tinkering around with OpulenZ I found a nice sound, and it reminded me of Philip Glass, so I layered it up a bit with some watery samples I made. Only a few seco...
Not everybody is using the same distro as you, so that's why I didn't just write " do sudo apt-get install carla-git". If someone is using one of the less common distros, for instance, they might need some guidance. Someone who can follow the instructions on eg kxstudio & have it work first time OK ...
Has anyone built a space-maximising theme:
Smaller buttons, single row at the top instead of two, thinner margins and so on
?
it's a pretty common keybinding in all sorts of applications: F4 opens & closes a side panel or sidebar.

As F4 doesn't seem bound to anything rn, might be a nice extra ergonomic touch.

If that is of interest i simply have to show you HG-fortunes Alionoctis wow. That is quite extraordinary. How does anyone ever find their way around it, or begin to control it? It feels as if it ought to have a dedicated hardware touch-screen or something like a Kaoss Pad  And there was me thi...

Audacity, while a great tool, doesn't have the automation that LMMS (and other DAWs) offers, nor such a range of well-integrated plugins. I compiled and looked at Ardour the other week, and while comprehensive, I found the interfac...
I realise that I haven't explained myself very well. The idea is to create a soundscape rather than a "song", in which layers of sound are built up but without actually being tied to bars or even beats (though there will be fragments of musical chords and fragmentary rhythms mixed in too) I understa...
Every single time I try to search for something that will help me use LMMS, the forum software responds "these words are too common" So, if I want to search for "add fx plugin" - which is something I want to do - I can't. The wiki and manual are really superficial in what they offer help with. How a...
it seems incredible that a native Linux application cannot use a native Linux VST plugin.
could be

lets try Image

Ok that works.

What a pain in the arse. imagebin links work on other BBCODE forums.
