I don't understand what you mean by filter sweep, but I think you mean the one with a lowpass filter changing frequency. Try using ctrl-click instead of shift-click. Here is a video on how to do a sweep. Not quite the process, but it will help you understand the basic idea so you can do it with an EQ.
