Glad you like it! I think that "distance" sense is part of the aesthetic of industrial music, like a band playing in an abandoned warehouse. E.g., NIN would always run their synths through an Amp and record, adding analogue warmth and presumably getting room modes/reverb too. Thats my grip...

High praise! Thanks for listening :)
Counter melody (maybe a 303) starting in major, and becoming more diminished / bluesy just before the drops?
It would be great to hear if anyone manages to assign the drum pads to a different midi channel (via the akai interface) and then get LMMS to play different instruments on different midi channels (keyboard vs pads).
I like the drops around 1:30 and 2:50. But the rest lacks a certain je ne sais quoi. I think there needs to be a movement that builds a tension and resolves to the drops.

So, if you tweak a note in the beat editor, it will always be at that tweaked location, which isn't very swingy. Of course, you could duplicate the Master beat a couple of times and then slightly t...
Hello, Here is a track I am working on, inspired by the Phrygian church mode and eastern cliche riffs (using an 'Oud'), mixed with industrial and acid sounds. Feedback would be appreciated https://soundcloud.com/rob-rankin-2/phrygian-industrial-complex The Oud sounds (tiney clackity string instrumen...
One option is indeed to use a SF2 player in lmms with a soundfound drumkit, as the previous poster mentioned. However, another option is (if you are using Linux and Jack) is to use the Carla-patchbay and Carla-rack LMMS instruments to load various LV2 samplers. For example, in Carla-patchbay, you ca...
Hi, Yes, with Fabla lv2, or Drumkv1 lv2, you can assign different samples to different midi notes (and activate with a pad-controller). Unfortunately, you can't yet blend samples with synth sounds (like the Bitwig example shows). You have to get the Carla-lmms instruments plugins to work, and do all...
