It's got a light feel to it which I like. I've been listening to heavier tracks today and this felt like a refreshing change.

I have no idea of the right way to do this, but when I want to do a track with something like different BPM or time signatures I use a workaround like... exporting the 100BPM track and converting it to an ogg file in VLC, then going back to LMMS working in 140BPM and adding in the 100BPM track later...
