Thanks. In my bedroom, the guitar sounds okay. Downstairs thru computer speakers with a small sub, it sounds a bit too distant, so... either fix the volume curves or take some reverb off it... not sure yet 🙂
Oh well, it's not like I'm on the run or something... 😆 https://epages.wordpress.com/2021/06/17/groove-a-total-remix-of-a-tune-i-did-a-long-time-ago-%F0%9F%8E%A7/ I don't consider this my best work *by a long shot* but rather an exercise in transitioning to LMMS..! I will probably remix it again bef...
hi musikbear thanks for the reply. i guess theres no solution to the problem then except to try another plugin. its just that vcso and dsk seem pretty good quality and are popular. i have the latest version of lmms from the website too. Actually there is another approach. I have used Element as a b...
Reminds me a bit of Gino Vannelli without the vocals. Very nice. One day I want to do "life on a space station in the 33rd century!" Space themes are great with electronica.

I have been thinking about a studio headphone, and I might get one.

Sad you have some hearing loss, but at least you found a way around it. :)

I am able to run FLStudio as a VST plugin in Reaper DAW on my PC. With LMMS the dummy window for FLS appears but when I click on it, my PC freezes. Just asking because I have a modest, early Pentium i3 mobile processor and am wondering if more CPU power would fix this. I have 8GB of RAM so don't thi...
If we compare headphones and speakers of same class and price, headphones are more accurate, but speakers are less exhausting for ears and are more interesting in lower frequency range, especially sub. Headphones just can't fill your room with bass, you know. But to use bassy speakers or dedicated ...
Well if it works on Ubuntu, it most likely will work on openSUSE too or can be made to work. Bitwig offering a deb file is an issue, but not something that cant be solved. OpenSUSE uses rpm, but I already know of a program, that can make an .rpm file out of a .deb file. I might try some of those pl...
Right. So Reaper runs on Linux sans Wine (I have only tried Ubuntu distros... Lubuntu, Bodhi, etc.) but not nearly as elegantly as it does on Windows. Reaper on Windows is very stable and if it had things like ADSR, stacking, arps, and some decent onboard instruments, I would probably not change. Bu...
Just a suggestion but you could try sites like https://freesound.org/ I can usually get what I need from there! :D
