You wanna send both instruments to the same FX Mixer bus, and on that single channel you want to put your peak controller. Then connect sidechain to this peak controller so both are sidechaining. I always say that unless you're with sidechaining twice, always use FX-Mixer buses for compression-base...
I tried out an awesome VST (Tal NoiseMaker) and opened the DLL file in LMMS. It works well (mind you the VST3 version isn't a recognized file to LMMS), however I'm having one major issue. Anything with a drop-down menu (select waveform, modulation) opens and closes immediately and I can't select ot...

Hello, I'm having trouble with a getting a certain sound to come through. I have a very short kick (using kicker) layered over a longer kick and the later has peak control, yet the former doesn't. Is there a way to add this instrument to the peak controller? Could I maybe put the controller in anoth...
If you're trying to get a heavy bass, use one of the equalizer plugins, that are included in lmms, like tap equalizer etc. :D Thanks for the tip! I noticed it sounded muddy so i turned up kicker (I had that layered over it) and removed bass booster. It's so confusing but I saw in the equalizer plug...
Best kick tutorial I've seen ever!! Thanks for the great tips. I took your method and added kicker (turned 'click' knob to zero) and layered some drums (with a short decay envelope enabled). I added a little bass boost, some tube distortion, Tal Reverb and a very short delay (canyon delay). I also s...
I listened to it a while ago. It sounds nice. Nice work. Thank you Brandy! Your compliments mean a lot as you guys are seasoned pros (in my view). I felt like i was running in circles a lot with so many 'tiny' parts while others went very smoothly. I'll have to watch some videos on kicks though... ...

I'll try to give you some tips related to my small experience : In order to have an idea of the loudness of your track bet...

Thank you for compliments the tip there! I noticed that too, though I had a lot of instruments playing at once in some parts (a fair bit of layering) so I ended up turning down the volume knobs on several things and automating volume on certain instruments to make them more audible. I then put a TDR...
