Just FWIW, if anyone is interested, the two jazz fusion charts I referred to, The Brecker Brothers Sponge and Some Skunk Funk are on Youtube at, respectively, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Imeo0pXhuXQ and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aePPKGxqOf8. The electric trumpet solos in Sponge use electro...
For Sonatina orchestra: yes, when I was trying to work with it, I had the same path (only at the time, it was in the original default VSTplugins directory under C:/program files/VSTplugins. And no, personally, I don't consider it confusing, but then, I have a strong background in music, instruments,...
Yes, when the VST plugins load, their GUI loads with them. No problems with VSTs, just MSEs.
I have already re-installed 1.2.2, no change...MSE files didn't work before or after. If you want me to test a different version, which one? Not installing daily alpha versions...normally too unstable.
> MSE-files does NOT work as VST. Yeah, I know that. But they are LABELLED as VST on lots of web sites. I'm not saying that's a good thing, just that it is how a lot of web sites label them. > I am attempting to get MDA-piano to work on your system. > All my advises has been for that > You have clea...
I have already commented (at least a few times) that I used the original default paths before, and none of these MSE files worked there, either. I customized my new default paths and nothing has changed...they still don't work. Will anything change now, if I go back to those original defaults, where...
I did that earlier in this thread, making sure I used the version from lmms.io. Sorry, might have forgotten to mention that. No change.
> You need to make this folder: > C:\jim\lmms\samples\VSTinstruments No, I don't. That is NOT what I have configured in Settings-->Directories. Why would I want to put stuff where LMMS is NOT looking for it and won't find it? That's just stupid. > Place MDA-piano.dll in VSTinstruments It's already t...
I've already said this (at least once) .... I don't just move the DLL. IF there's an instruments directory, I learned, my very first day using LMMS, that you have to move it, as well. So that's no surprise. Oh, and just FWIW, the reason I put a lot of stuff in my home directory (C:/jim) is for backu...
I had never heard of file indexing, so I looked into it. I could not find anything about file indexing on my system, and then I found an article that seems to suggest why. It seems that indexing is not recommended on solid state drives, as it somehow shortens the life of the drive (and the other thi...
