And somehow the software itself is not enough of a meaning...?
Who is this mysterious 'we' you all keep talking about? This thread is pointless. LMMS is NOT going to change its name again anytime soon, and nobody who is actually involved with the project has been asking for any new superfluous meaning for the name for any purposes. You are free to call LMMS wha...
caLRo, I'm really sorry, but I just can't find another way to put this... :c

Are you aware that without any contributions to LMMS one can't really go around rebranding the project?

I'm sorry, but how does this make any sense?
LMMS might not be the best name out there, but the fact that we've all gathered here to argue about it means it's got impact.
But why should LMMS have any other meaning beyond itself, the software it refers to?
This is a perfectly fine and legitimate question -- what's so silly about it? o:
What do you need 96kHz and 4x oversampling (effectively 384kHz) for? There's a chance some plugins can't handle sample rates that are so ridiculously high.
Even tonally, the DAWS have a different "tone" to them. LMMS sounds open, and lo-fi is easy to create, it crunches pleasantly even when I'm clipping tracks. FL has a compressed sort of sound I find this info interesting. :geek: I'll see if I can facilitate some conditions in which I can c...
Eh, I find stealthy automation highly unlikely. If the project remains silent until you load a new one this could very likely be caused by a misbehaving plugin (*cough* Calf Limiter *cough*)
