like LFO + ADSR+ multi point env
adding pitch modulation and perhaps panning
some other ideas
non linear clipping
if x is volume and d distortion(vbetween 1 and 10)
tan - (Dx) would make a non linear clipping
you could also do tan (D/ -x)
or D power tan - x
don't know perhaps the ideas is too rough
it would be great to add feedback like 15 %with option to invert phase
non linear compression
env follower power 2 or 3 that control a volume
some fast adsr
perhaps you increase the number of point of the env to make faster envelope
color eq
perhaps you can put a clipper tube like into the feedback loop of the FIR to make pultec like eq
