I would really like to see a MIDI export, it would help people like me who wanna see others remix my stuff. Pr if you lose a project file, but you have the MIDI, so you use that instead.

Hi!

MIDI export is a work in progress and hopefully it will be all done and delivered in lmms-1.2.0 .

Meanwhile a user has done an LMMS project to MIDI converter presented in this topic:

Hi all - just joined the forum, this is my first post... So just decided to use 1.2RC7 - it's great!!!!!!!!!!

I want to be able to create simple drum midi files. But I think the LMMS midi export is not storing patch/instrument info correctly when exporting, because when I import an exported midi file, the drums just play as bank-0, patch-0 (piano).

However, when I import a downloaded midi file, LMMS correctly assigns instruments, so I'm guessing the midi export is the problem...

Let me know how I can help.

thanks! tom

Hi, tc_001 and All people
I had already exposed this problem some time ago and in addition when we have several different instruments and that we export in MIDI, they are all on the same channel (1) midifile it's unusable in this way.

Ohh... that is bad...
I will do tests. Do you have a general-midi-patch, as default midi-instrument?
Let me know how I can help.
We always welcome every type of help, especially if you are a C++ coder!
If so, let me know, then i can give you the 'full-pack'
