you might have to update wine, kxstudio to get this all correct, and the wine run time.

but it's a very good workaround. You basically start compiling and debugging things like the m-audio code 49 preset editor under wine, and the beat step pro firmware updates under wine, as well as boss tone studio and the boss me-80 firmware updates.

when you do this, you will be able to install device drivers in linux under wine, and maybe have a wine based midi mapping application?

you can go through wine and just compile mackie support into wine, and then route the keyboard through wine run time. and then the basic algorithm is usb to mackiesupport under wine and then make ardour and lmms mackie compatible or me80 compatible.

and then midi routing via wine run time? there are 16 midi channels on a beat step pro, if you can install the firmware and route them under wine, you can surely have access to them via jack.

bottom line.... It's gonna take a hell of a lot of hacking to get this done!
