An idea I have that may or may not be an easy addition.

I take note of a post musikbear made on another thread on this forum that the developers are more concerned with removing real bugs that cause problems than working on adding nice things people would like, and i agree with that, of course that is more important.

That being said, here is my suggestion,

You know when you are working on an excel spreadsheet, there is an option to insert a text window box on any cell, so when you hover over that cell a small window appears with some information that is relevant to that particular cell, is it possible to have the same for a cells in the song editor?

Reason I am saying it is when I am working on a song, after I have worked on it for some time I will play it back in the car while driving on a loop and pick out parts that sound wrong to me, usually with an idea of what I need to do or change, it would be very handy to have the above mentioned functionality so a text window can be added in at a particular point with the idea of whats to be done, because a lot of the time the idea will drift or be forgotten if you cannot get to work on the track for another day or so.

What do you think?
You could just put it in the project notes, which are available in all versions as far as I am aware. That way you won't forget about it.

Agreed, i do use the project notes, however, i just thought if it was a relatively easy addition it would allow information to be inserted at the exact position you know you need to change something with added written notes on what it is you want to do.

Thanks for the reply.
No problem, just thought I'd mention that, because that's what I do.

Agreed, i do use the project notes,
'In the works' are bookmarks. Those could then relate directly to a notation in *project notes*
Also some color marking-options will come ..later :)

Thanks for that, will be a nice addition.
You could add a Beat/Bassline and use name on a block as text. I've used this for lyrics/notes. However It's limited to a single line. On the plus side you can change colours on the blocks.

Yes exactly. I showed different versions of that, 6 y ago in suggestions for good structure and use of note-blocks https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jMPH5prCMv4
..We still mean to implement bookmarks and other structure elements 😬 -eventually..
Besides that, since you are new in Forum
