HTTPS redirect for the website

Hey there,
I noticed that the website (& forum) does not automatically redirect users to the HTTPS version. Implementing or enabling an automatic redirect from HTTP to HTTPS is rather easy, only takes like half an hour and would significantly improve the security and privacy of the forum and the website.
If you use apache:
https://www.namecheap.com/support/knowl ... t-to-https
kind regards

We do have httpS on DL pages, so they are secured. Forum is not, - i do not know why that has been decided, it may be because this rather old forum-sw dont support it

Honestly nothing is wrong with https, it just affects a hide all script button I use when browsing r/all to make everything I've seen disappear instead of clicking next page and seeing repeats. With https it doesn't show up.

I think yes, HTTPS is secure and this forum should be redirected as HTTPS. It will be great if all other forums too use this. BTW Thanks for sharing this with us, Sir. We are grateful

HTTPS makes your website secure for hackers. This does not redirect to your site. Canonical is used for redirection.

Hopefully, this makes sense. The only difference between the two protocols is that HTTPS uses TLS (SSL) to encrypt normal HTTP requests and responses. As a result, HTTPS is far more secure than HTTP.
