The ability to move the octave better.

I experienced a limitation in LMMS where I was trying to play music with the keyboard but was limited to only two octaves.

I found a plugin to add a button to your keyboard to change it so that you can play more fluidly. That would be a good idea.
This plugin is sadly not working with the new version anymore https://sourceforge.net/p/lmms/patches/7/

But also making it visible what key you are hitting when you use the slider is a good idea. The keys light up green but they are the wrong keys. But it wouldn't help with the fluidity of playing yet.

I would greatly appreciate it if these features will be added to the program. :D

That version is not only outdated, it is completely buried !

Updating is what you should do.
Please retry the functionalities in 1.2.2.
If you still find them lacking, do post again:)
I have to agree I am quite new to all of this. :)

It just brought me back to the good old days when I was 8 and played with my kidkeyboard. I did the same on my computer keyboard and I felt a bit limited. So maybe it's just a good idea to invest in a midi keyboard in the future. That would give a better feeling anyways.

First and foremost: Upgrade!
1.2.2 is of a higher quality that cant be compared to the 2009 release.
A MIDI-keyboard may be nice, but in no way a must. I do not have one.
