I'm happy to have found a good DAW that can be used completely offline and off grid. ('Would be nice in the unlikely event of the zombie apocalypse, or comparable situation).. But after thorough search I find that the only LMMS manual that's available for download for offline use is for a very old version, 0,4,12.. I also see that the topic of an offline manual is one that has emerged afew times.

So I was thinking how about for example dumping the LMMS wiki to a zim file, for zim readers such as kiwix etc.?
openzim.org have instructions in how to create a zim from existing html, or you can ask them to create a zim file of the wiki.. https://openzim.org/wiki/Build_your_ZIM_file

Short of something like that, I (and others who might want a manual they can access offline) would have to download and store all the html pages individually. - I hope you will consider this, as I think it would be a really good idea.

Downloadable offline manual..
You are 100% correct! There ought to be
There is not..... 😳
As you say, we used to have a pdf, but the webpage-2-pdf tool diddent always work, and then i guess it kind of got 'lost'.
We do have a wiki, and you can fetch the whole thing, with a "work offline" cmd, or download everything (2 GB i believe..)
It is not complete updated to 1.2.2, but mostly ok.
I am afraid that its the best choice. ATm we are making a gitBook, but that is also wip, so not 100% finnished, but more up to date. Have to admit that i do not know, if gitBooks can be fetched to a local pc. Have to instigate

I assume that you mean using the version stored in my browser cache.. 'Might be an ok solution if there's some way to extract it from the cache, to an archive on my HD.. (do you know how to do that?).. otherwise I'm not certain if I can count on it still being in the cache after some time.

that is easy.
If you open the webpage in your browser and hold ctrl the press s, then your browser will create a saved version on your HD. You get a 'loadpage' and a folder with all images, and formatting code.
To watch the page off-line open the loadpage in your browser

Yes that's all good and well for downloading each single page individually.. But that solution will not allow me to jump between pages through the links. That's why I suggested dunping the whole wiki to a zim file. But I suppose I can do that myself with the openzim tools. - But thanks anyways.

PS I apologize that it took me so long to reply. I ran into abit of trouble that my external SD card, which is pretty much where I keep everything that I work on at any given time.. and then some.. broke (literally in two halves) so I lost all the data on it. So my attention was diverted to salvaging and reconstructing as much as I could from an old backup and other sources.

Its very old 0.4.1 is almost irrelevant.
