Hi, Welcome to the forum gamingbucket! Here are all our important links:

And a few rules for Avatars, signatures, posting and using the right sub-forum :)

The favourite idea can be kind of troublesome to implement, but you can actually quite easy make a version of it, in the existing lmms.

This idea, however would only be of interest for a person starting with lmms. If someone with a lot of tracks already would do what i am about to suggest, it would CORRUPT! the existing tracks! -So do not do that!

LMMS has a powerful 'token-based' internal browser!
If you start to listen to the samples that is shipped with lmms, and find one you think should belong to favorites, all you need to do is change the DISK-name with an added token.
Fi. We have the sample "Hard_kick.ogg"
If you rename that to "Hard_kick_xfx.ogg", the the token xfx will be a token for favourite in the search engine.
Type xfx in the token-input, eg, the input-field next to the circel-arrow:

and LMMS will only display those files that has this ID-insert. Eg, your favourites.

The other thing you ask for, can be done either by tokens again, or by simply adding subfolder to the Sample-folder.

still it would be way easier to press a button and switch a file then to change a name, but first find the file and then search for it... but thanks anyhow.

I created an account specifically to suggest that a Favourites feature should be added. It was something I wanted after using LMMS for 10 minutes (my first use today! :D ). The workarounds suggested are OK, but are quite clumsy and time-consuming.
