Good guitar (clean/overdriven/distorted) sound

Hi,

someone does know where to get a good clean/overdriven/distorted guitar sound?

I've tried the Fluidr3_GM soundfont, but the guitar sounds seems to sound kind a lot in a "plastic" manner... They seem VERY different from a real guitar sound.

Any suggestion?

You can make your own power-guitars for rock, as i do here

You can also get one of the really B I G ! sampled VSTs-guitar plugins, but they are HUGE in size, and so are the project :/
Afair one is named 'Ample-guitar' ..almost 500 MB :(
Hi musikbear and thank you for answering!

In the case I want to ply the guitar using a sampled VSTs-guitar plugin, could you tell me where to find a good one and how I can play it in lmms?
I read something about playing VSTs on linux some time ago but it didn't sound pretty immediate. I read you had to use Carla or transform VSTs for linux with linVST and then play it, but I really don't know from where to start right now...

Afair the one they presented on KVR was named 'amble' or 'ample'-guitar. I think the article was something like 'best free guitar-VST'. Both were to large for my likening, so i diddent give it much attention..

You are on Linux so you need to install WINE, and WINE must be installed before LMMS!
It mean you need to un-install your current LMMS, get correct WINE from your pacman, install that!, then install LMMS
No need to use Carla or transform VSTs for linux with linVST -at all!
