Making effects happen for only one section of a song?

Say you wanted an effect like Reverb or any other effect to happen for only one part of a song and not have it be applied to the whole instrument. How would you do that?

not have it be applied to the whole instrument
well it has to be applied to the instrument at all time, but it does not have to be active
In computers 'active' is denoted by a set-bit or '1'
Inactive is '0'
That is know as a 'flag'
In lmms you can set all flags to ON with '1' and OFF with 0, in automation!
So every diode with light is a '1'
Every un-lith diode is a '0'
Drag any diode into automation-tracks, and set the 1 or 0 as you like, and the effect or plugin will change on/off state accordingly.
Thank you! I have been working on a pretty good song and I wanted to know how to do that to make the drop have more of an impact. Still making tweaks to it but I think it's my best song yet!

You can also automate the Wet/Dry knob. 0 is inactive, 1 is active, everything in between is partially active. Heck, you can even go to negative numbers, which I think (I'm not completely sure) plays the dry version, and then layers the wet version over it, so -1 would be playing Dry and Wet at the same time! I prefer that over the little button thingy, because it gives you more control.
