Tempo automation + sample track

I'm currently making a remix and I've got a tempo change from 160 - 172 bpm which is all good besides the fact the song in the sample track doesn't change with it, any way to make this happen or am I asking for too much here?

As far as I know, the audio sample in sample track is insensitive to changing tempo in LMMS 1.1.3

So for now, a common suggestion, is to make a copy of the sample and put into a
good ol' free sound editor software, called Audacity.
You can change the Tempo in Audacity, then save the sample, then re-import it into
Lmms' sample track, or the Audio File Processor plugin.
