Hi sunbear. :)
Could you give us a bit of info, as to what FL Studio's Layer does?

No, nothing like FL Studio Layer or Patcher in LMMS (if this function exists and I have not noticed it yet, I will take a walk in the forest to shout my despair).

and here an extract of this notice in french about what i'm interested to do to LMMS, if it is possible:

If I understand correctly, you want to assign different sample sounds to keys or areas of the keyboard.

Is my interpretation correct?

The only synth that can do this in LMMS is ZynAddSubFX. But ZynAddSubFX does not handle samples. For example, see the drum preset that works according to this principle (in LMMS 1.1.3).

D.ipsum is partly correct, zynAddSubFX does contain one preset with this feature (... and i have never investigated it 8|... wtfn...)
Oh well
But one more option exists. You van get a Soundfond-editor and build a SF2 with samples. Afaik, nobody has done this.

The third option is to use a VST-sampler. Unfortunately afaik there is yet to be found a VST sampler, that works correctly in lmms

ok, ok, no worries ... I go out crying my despair in the forest  ....................................................................................

If the SoundFont option interests you, you can create your sf2 with https://polyphone-soundfonts.com/en/ (I have not tried it yet, but it looks great). It takes time to think it well, but it could meet your expectations.
