Voice synthesizer recommendations

I am EXTREMELY new to lmms. I have tried out other musical applications for creating music but, they all proved very difficult and time consuming. Lmms seems to at least be do-able though.

ANYWAY, I was wondering if there were any good voice synthesizers out there.
I am a big Dave Grohl fan and love the Foo Fighter's self titled. You know, the one he made by himself. Anyway, he has a song called Generator on that album. I believe he uses a voice synthesizer to create the sound in the beginning of the song.

I was wondering if there were any synthesizers that maybe sounded similar to that.
Anyone know? :P

Hello. :D
You can use Audacity for that. It's a free audio editting software.
There are special effects in audacity, that can help, make that same
robotic voice. (Check the effects tab)

Also, check out this Youtube tut:
How to make a robotic voice in audacity 2.2.1 by f&D.
If you see a robot girl, in the vids thumbnail pic, then that's the tut.

Then, after you make your robotic voice sound fx, bring it into your
Lmms music track and enjoy.

And welcome to the forums Noawya3873. :)

I believe he uses a voice synthesizer to create the sound in the beginning of the song.
The FX used is a Talk Box: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk_box
I don't know any plugin for this effect but you could try and use a "vocal formant filter" in the envelop/lfo section and modulate it with an automation track.
