Ok- thats odd
I would need to investigate the vst, but its neither on our tested list:
https://lmms.io/wiki/index.php?title=Tested_VSTs
or the list of those that dont work. I can also see that it is a commercial VST, so i cant test it - sorry
Have you tried export in all formats?
Hello Musicbear, and thank you for your answer.
Yes I have tried to export it in .wav and .ogg, and both don't work...

This is unfortunate. One thing that comes to mind - Does you use a demo, or a trial-version? The pages said ~50€ for the plugin.
I cant think of more reasons..

Except, i would like to know the exact result, if you follow this modus:
First:
Shut down your pc - Not sleep! rest for 2 mins, restart!
then
DL. MDA-Piano http://mda.smartelectronix.com/synths.htm
(It is very small in size, and you can just copy it to your folder. -Eg NO installation! Further its a quite good piano-instrument, so it is a win win)

Now after you have placed the mda.dll in correct folder
* Open lmms
* open the issue project
* left-click the track-button
Image
(picture shows one for 3oc, you does it for for your "monstrumPulse" VST!
That will make the VST-container -This one:
Image
-for your "monstrumPulse" the "active-indtrument"

Now in sidebar -open my-Presets
Image
and locate the new MDA-piano
* Right-click on the name, and choose Send-to-active-instrument
This exchanges "monstrumPulse" with MDA.piano
Emediately after you have done that:
Press play
Does the MDA-piano have sound?
When I export my songs using the VST Serum, I cannot hear the vsts sounds. I can hear the rest of the song just fine, however, I can't hear the basslines I made with Serum I have never had a problem with any other vst and the support @ Serum said it must be an FL setting.

it must be an FL setting.
ehrr.. This forum is exclusively for LMMS. If you have a FLs issue, we cant assist
The problem here is that people would get confused listening to ASIO4ALL clarity while playing or mixing their track and then export and hear audio loss. In other words Myloweslife.

Atm there is no ASIO support in LMMS

Besides that, since you are new in Forum

I have been trying to resolve this, but cannot find the settings that do...

The export of a midi loop played through a vst sounds nothing like what the played content does.

Can't demonstrate the good vs bad so...
I went to the extreme of exporting from a different DAW.

This is what the result should be.
19May_Bling_0S.wav
This what I'm getting out of FL 12.0.2.
19May_Bling_0.wav
Same midi, same vst, same patches. It's like the tempo is all over in the FLS clip, but the vst indicates it is getting the right tempo, and not fluctuating...
Anyone recognize what I'm doing wrong?

Before we tackle this, I had to get rid of the advertising link
You are new, so you do not know our rules, but adds are not allowed :)

Lets see if i have understood you correctly:
You have imported a MIDI file and that plays like you want it to sound.
Then you replaced the SF2-player with a VST (what name?), and then the playback is no longer as you expected?
(Your links does not open btw)
That would be expected. I dont know what SF2 player you have used for your MIDI-import, but replacing that SF2 with a VST, would create a different output, but the tempo is 'fluctuating' -That is odd. Maybe there is a tempo-problem in the MIDI.
Try this: Right-click this component

In the context menu selecr: "Remove-global-automation"
If that is not your issue, let us know, but
please post your:
* Name of your Operative System (Windows/ Linux/ Mac) And subtype (Home' 'Mint' '10.13' aso)
* lmms version, and the site where you got it from
* lmms sound device chosen
https://lmms.io/wiki/index.php?title=LM ... o_Settings
* hardware specification (ram & soundcard is the most important)
