I have been wanting to try making remixes for quite some time but I've been stalling it because I cant find a way to change the key and BPM of a sample. Is there a way to do it in lmms or even audacity ?

Yep. You can use Audacity for that.

Audacity is a really good free tool, for these kind of things.
You can even add cool effects, to sounds, samples and even tracks etc.
