How do i apply a 3rd party plugin onto my master?

Questions about producing? Ask them here.
I have a few plugins like sausage fattener and soundgoodizer that are meant to be applied to a master or an fx channel but i can't seem to figure out how to get it to work. I've tried saving the pluggin as a vst preset, tried bringing it up in the fx list (kinda silly but it was worth a try), and i tried loading it up giving it, it's own instrument track (which works because the plugin is technically cooperating with the daw with the graphics showing but isn't doing anything because it's not been connected properly).
From my experience in FL studio, i know that the plugin has to be applied directly unto the master or fx channel in order to manipulate it, but i'm not sure at all how to do this in LMMS. If anyone has any advice that would be greatly appreciated.

P.S
Synth plugins like NI Massive work just fine, it only seems to be effects plugins that don't connect properly.

In LMMS all effects must be in the folder you have chosen as the FX-folder in your setUp.
Default, that is:
..\LMMS\plugins\ladspa
So the VST-dll of the effect should be placed in the ladspa-folder. Then it will show up together with all the default effect-plugins.
Observe that in the FX-window, you can sort the plugins in 3 categories:
* LMMS
* LADSPA
* VST
That makes it easy to find the type you are looking for. If you remember the name, the token-search is even better

Does this happen with all your VST effects, or only with those you mention?

If this happens with all your VST effects, maybe you are making a mistake somewhere. In this case, you can follow what is indicated in the following two links:
https://lmms.io/wiki/index.php?title=Working_with_VSTs
https://lmms.io/wiki/index.php?title=Wo ... _the_Mixer

If this only happens with the VST effects you mention, maybe these do not work in LMMS.

I would like to add that VST effects can be inserted:
- in the effects chain of any mixer channel (master channel or other)
- or in the effect tab of any LMMS synth, as shown here: https://lmms.io/wiki/index.php?title=Wo ... PA_effects

This wiki links are not up to date. I give you these links because the procedure to follow is valid.

In the last link, you can not only insert the native effects of LMMS (LADSPA and others) in the effect tab, but also the effects VST.

Do not hesitate to intervene if you encounter problems, providing as much detail as possible so that someone can help.
