Electric guitar help?

Questions about producing? Ask them here.
I would like to replicate the electric guitar effects this guy used in his video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q0S-rQQFfoU

I have everything downloaded from the description other than the bass and drums (which I don't need). How would I use all of these tools to make a great-sounding electric guitar like in the video? All of the tools listed under "Pickups:" and "Amps and cabinet:" are free to download.

Use this link to download the Ultimate Guitar Kit Soundfont: http://www.gregjazz.com/upload/ugk2.rar

But he shows what he has done.. You need the soundfonts, and you need those VST-effects
just guitar pickup soundfonts passed through digital amps and cabinets
His settings i cant tell you, but i have dabbled with guitar sounds myself, and how to make those i can tell you, but is that what you like

I can't seem to make the amp and cabinet effects show up in the effects menu. This is what's holding me back.

Oh, yes. I know this is far overdue. But you solved this for me. Thank you.

However, would you mind explaining how the tools in both the Amps and Cabinets and Pickups section (from this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q0S-rQQFfoU) work in LMMS? That is, if you know how.

I do not have any one of those used, so i do not know them :)
They may be interesting to take a look at though..
In general i would say that you can use a lot of different plugins, and 'color' the sound of any instrument, including guitars, but finding the right ones is often the big task ahead.
Hehe, it seems I'm a bit late to this Post. Yes, I basically used the ugk.sf2 as the base instrument. It has recorded samples of the clean signal of a real (I hope) electric guitar. Then you slap a pre-amp vst like DSE 808, an amp simulator like LeCto or Le456 and a cabinet simulator like LeCab. Add some other effects like eq and lmms cabinet sim (yes, I know, 2 cabinets) and you get a somewhat realistic guitar

You can get better results if you use better samples and actually know how to produce (I made that a long time ago, I was a bit clueless) but so far I haven't found any better sounding electric guitar samples. If you do please let me know.

Cheers :)

You can find literary 1000th of fully legal VSTs online, both Instruments, and effect-plugins. One great place to look is VST-Planet, or MY-VST, but there are 100th of pages
Dont dl 1000th of VSTs though...
On regular basis i use 3 VSTs -Thats all!
Its w--a--y better to know a few good one 100%, than to have 1000, and not really knowing how the actually work
Mine is
  • Synth1
    Oatmeal
    Alianocsis

Besides that, since you are new in Forum
