Loops

Questions about producing? Ask them here.
Hello all!

I'm Thomas, I'm new :)

I have a question about loops on LMMS.

I started a new project and there is only guitar. Nothing else.

So I recorded a verse, a chorus and a bridge.

In LMMS, I put Audio File Processor where I can upload my records.

When I try to do a loop to have V+V+V+V+C+C+P+V+V+V+V ....

Everytime I hear a "pop" sound, in every transitions.

For example : When my first verse is ending and just before to start the second verse, I hear a "pop" sound
But with chorus too and with transition between my verse and my chorus.

However, I try to set good starting point and good ending point... I'm a little overhelmed.

Can you help me please?
Is there a FX to correct that? Or something else?

Many thanks for your help!

Yes the start & end-points are indeed very important when working with samples!
With a 'good' point, i assume you mean where the loudness is as close to the 0-line as possible?
Eg.

As in your selection is like this blue rektangel in the picture ?

Yes you need to set an envelope where you have an attack and a release suited for the specific samples.

Read about envelopes here:

Goddag !

Og tak! :) (I learn Danish)

Yes I did like the blue rektangle and I begin as 0.

Many thanks for your links, I succeed to supress the pop at the end of each record :D

I don't really know how lol but I set several knobs in ENV/LFO until I have a good sound.

I have 5 songs to records for my project so I'll train myself with that!

Vi ses

You should take some time studying and understanding both how Envelopes and LowFreqOscillator LFO actually work, because they can add quality to a lot things, and if you never really understand the dials, then it is difficult to know what to do, when there is a problem :)

Hejsa ! :)

Thank you very much for your help,

After several times, I'm able to supress the "pop" sound at the end,

I follow my learning with all these knobs but it is really better :)
