hey there! first post on the lmms forums, so uh, sorry if this is kinda tangled and incoherent. not sure how to ask these kinds of questions! ^^"
so, basically, i downloaded the AlterEgo plugin. it looks really neat and it's free, so my broke freshman year ass was like "hmm i need this" and in theory it's really cool! the voice bank i have is lovely, and once i figure it out, i can't wait to use it.
one problem: i can't figure out how to use it. and i'm beginning to wonder if it's even compatible with lmms... ^^" it works fine if i'm just using it for "ahhhh" vocals and so on but the second i have different kinds of lyrics it gets all tangled! there's no real way to know what sound is going to come out. Like, I'm not really sure how to put this into words, but...
Basically, let's say I want to input just "Hello." I put in the two syllables into the VST, and then input them as notes on the PianoRoll. But there's no way of attaching any vocal sound to a note, so if I click something wrong it'll recite backwards ("llo-heh" if u will).
I know this all sounds like total jargon and again this is a total shot in the dark, but if anyone knows how to make this dang thing work and actually hold on to lyrics that'd be dope! (I've only been using lmms a few months and I've been playing it relatively safe the whole time, so a lot of talk about it still goes way over my head... if my frazzled attempt at an explanation didn't give it away, I still don't know a lot of the lingo.)
tldr alterego makes me want to dead, can any of yall help a gal out?
