Chord confusion

Thank you :)
I found something else.

I said before there are two version, an older and a newer version.

The midi file I have, is of the old version. The difference is not that big, but was enough to confuse me.

The midi file has these up down notes, and I was like wtf, I don't hear that.

Sounds that starts at 0.28 min

Compare it to the newer version..

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3kK_HGNOo9A sound starts at 0.38

This sounds like somebody was using the pitch shift on a keyboard synthesizer.

I finally understand the midi file. There are more small differences between the two versions, but now I should be able to finish this.

Will have to use some of the midi file, because I doubt very much I can do it by ear.
I don't even recognize a C or any of the other notes, but only hear they are different.

Googling on how to train this, mostly told me you need to start this at a early age.
I am afraid he is right.

Any thoughts on how to train it ? I never had common sense stop me before from trying,
I would never been musical were I am now if I had.

Still having fun that when I started people asked if I was tone def.
Took me months to hear why Music bear said no, in a vid about scales.
I did not hear anything wrong at first.

I might have found were the midi file comes from.

The yellow notes at 0.26 , interesting, I don't hear them in the original from Vangelis.

I am hearing something else. this did confuse me. Also found yet another difference with the original.

There is a build up sound in the midi file, that goes on much longer in the midi file, then in what Vangelis plays.

I have counted them, in the original it's 8 times. In the midi file it's at least twice as much.

I did a small test had you tube vid of song running and my version at that build up point.
I was right in my previous post, about it being to fast in the midi file.
My changed version has the same speed as Vangelis.

Very happy I now should be able to finish this.

Won't be easy, I will have to use my ears, picks notes in scale that sound right.

I had already tried something but although its in scale my ears protest. Classing notes. :)

Still learning allot, its almost worth the frustration. :P
