Help to recreate Enigma Sadeness drum pattern?

Questions about producing? Ask them here.
Hi!

Could someone help me recreate the drum pattern of Sadness https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4F9DxYhqmKw?

Do you have any tip to achieve that? How would you do it?

Cheers

(Its sadEness -Now go and contemplate why it is so..)

Totally epic music!
But first we need a better sound quality, and by pattern i guess you mean:

..Its a pretty straight fwd rytmic pattern, where the snare is standing out a bit..

Ask yourself?
What percusion-instruments can i hear?
What is the special quality in each of these?
How hard are they 'hit' (Velosity)?
What is the BPM?
What is the nost dominant, and vis-a-vi?
Listen to the piece over and over, then start to 'play along' with one instrument, then add one and play a long
Just like i shows in this tutorial, but with percussion in your case
I'm trying without success. Sorry, but I'm totally new to LMMS and music production.
I can only agree with musicbear.

It does not really matter were you start or which kick or bassdrum you use. You can always change that later.

But just pick one sound and make that pattern in LMMS.

After googling the right BPM of this track, and setting LMMS to this BPM.

https://tunebat.com/Info/Sadeness-Enigm ... 3YKZ1UGCeu

They say 96 BPM and G major. So when adding non drum sounds, use the mark current scale in the piano roll at G.

Do you know, you can use your pc keyboard to record notes? This might make it easier. tap along with the track.
Ok. Thank you!
