Fade to grey , what is going on ?

Questions about producing? Ask them here.
I have an chord progression, not sure if its 100% right , but for now happy with.
What I have is D6,C6,D6,A5#, A5, G5, A5, F5, E5, D5, C5, B5, A4. I might try sonic visualizer on that part, see if it help me, to get the 100% correct notes.

I had the same notes as a synthesia vid, but in that vid they keep going down the scale, too fast in my opinion, so I changed that.

I do have one question.

At 1.12 min, what is happening, an opening of a filter ? It does not seem to be a pitch bend. :)

one of the famous part of this classic
Not a filter. Its is a single tone raising from octave to one octave higher, but it may be a theremin. I have never seen any explanation on what instrument they did use, but even though the sound is 'theremin-like', its most likely made on a mono-synth,
Thank you.

Well let me help you out on he instrument.

It's a polymoog, because the minimoog was missing.

5min 30 and on, if you don't want to watch the entire vid.

Voxymada or how ever you spell it, is the name of the preset. (I assume it's the polymoog too, but it might be an organ)

But, my question is not about the slight, its about he "wah wah" effect on the end of the notes. :)

I did find a polymoog vst, but I think its not finished, It does make that sound kinda though.

This is what I have now, found the note length by playing along the original, not caring about what key I hit.
Then in LMMS , by ear and some help of a synthesia vid, getting the notes right.

Learned something

What Chris is talking about is Vox Humada, the number 7 preset on the polymoog.

Hello ! One more file to check out last time .
All the main notes are correct I believe and it's the entire song !

Not sure about the exact bpm and if it should be 3 notes down (all instruments) .

Also that solo part give me trouble what sound to use . I did this , used 3 different sounds and crossfade them into each other and some automation on the effects (lol) I dont know what I'm doing .

There are notes for the vocals but I didnt put them in the song it's only the music .

I leave this here to the forum I aint going to upload somewhere else the song I dont like having my mind to it .

Good luck Gps !
105 BPM Key A minor.

And thank you, I downloaded the file.

I already have this, but version at pc is much newer.

What remains is that one part, and I am hunting down a good sound that is like the Voxhumada sound or is a good replacement.

I now have 4 or 5 synth doing the strings and that is too much and it still is not sounding right.

I found a free polymoog VST, but I am not to happy about that sound either.

That xylophone melody from 37 secs, I noticed that the first few seconds of it, sounds a bit out of sync with the main melodies. I think the first few notes, might have played a bit too soon. Concerning the track, I listened to the entire thing. Nice work so far Gps.
Yes it does, but it has been fixed.

Its the part were he starts to sing.
Okay. I'll listen to it.
I am working on the drums, but right now am also a bit fed up with the track.

No big deal I will finish this, but right now a bit out of motivation. This often happens to me when covering stuff.

Its 90% done
