Is the appimage version the only way to make LMMS use LV2?

Questions about producing? Ask them here.
Ubuntu Studio has LMMS and Carla but LMMS from their repo doesn't recognize Carla. This is issue happens on all versions regardless of Ubuntu, LMMS, and Carla versions.

The only way to make LMMS use LV2 is via the appimage version. I extracted the contents of the appimage version and noticed a Bash script telling the system to scan for Carla. If it's found then it uploads it as an Instrument Plugin.

Does that mean it is possible to configure the Ubuntu Repository version of LMMS to use Carla?

I'm currently using Ubuntu Studio 21.10 (beta) and I'm unable to build LMMS from source code because of missing libraries still not in the repos.

I like appimages but I'd rather have it installed on my system as I noticed the appimage is a bit slower.

I have a script that import all dependencies on mint. I have no idea how it will do on ubuntu...
You have two options. Do as Musikbear suggests or contact the package builder of Ubuntu studio.

Tell them Carla is not showing in LMMS.
