Cymbals get cut off..

Questions about producing? Ask them here.
So I read something about no-length notes, but I don't understand how you're supposed to use cymbal samples without lengthening the sample, which apparently you can't? The cymbal sound gets cut off, how do you make it play the whole sample?
What do you mean? In the B+B editor? Or are you making a cymbal track with a the AFP?
Which cymbal sample are you using?
I just downloaded a bunch of drum kit samples. Then I put the sample into the BB. When the beat plays, the cymbals get cut off. I've tried using the piano roll but I can't do anything with the sample. When I click on it, it plays in its full duration.
One solution would be to avoid using beat+bassline tracks. You can just make an audiofileprocessor track and go into the piano roll for the most flexibility.

I dont know what an audiofileprocessor track is. But I do know the piano roll, the problem is that the sample acts in the same way. I can't extend the sample, so it gets cut off. The little extend arrow that usually comes up is not showing..

This is what snarf was speaking about. https://lmms.io/wiki/index.php?title=AudioFileProcessor
Musikbear will come by and provide links to certain Lmms related content.

Delete the note in the piano roll and replace it with another one.
And tell us what happens from there.

So how do you make a track using that? Seems to me you would need a track for every drum?
The easiest solution is to use the piano roll in B+B Editor. As brandystarbrite says when you have any no-length notes in there that won't extend just delete them (right-click) and then put in your own notes which you will be able to extend to any length you need.

Almost, you do need to go to the note-selection-drop-down:

and there select a new normal note, in order to get out of the 'no-length-note' selection.

That is partly true, You do need a B&B-editor track for each individual percussion sound. I recommend that you read this:
